Lincoln Financial Group employees, whose days are usually filled with the details of life insurance, annuities, and retirement plan services, will instead share JA activities with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade young people in their classrooms at Kekionga Middle School, 2929 Engle Road, Fort Wayne.

Lincoln Financial Group volunteers will share JA middle school programs during the school-wide JA in a Day. The volunteers will guide students through practical problem-solving activities, encouraging them to use their creativity and critical thinking to explore business and economics. The all-school focus increases student excitement and enhances their learning and retention as hands-on activities immediately build upon one another.

“In their classrooms, these middle school young people are learning about the economy and how it operates. Through the educator-requested JA in a Day activities, Lincoln Financial Group employees will be sharing their real-life experiences as they expand the students’ awareness of our local economy and their future workplace opportunities,” says Lena Yarian, President, Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana.
